Аманда Сайфред станет основательницей провального стартапа

Номинантка на «Оскар» Аманда Сайфред («Лавлэйс») сыграет американскую бизнесвумен и основательницу компании Theranos Элизабет Холмс в новом мини-сериале платформы Hulu, получившем название The Dropout («Отчисленная*»). Аманда придет на смену Кейт МакКиннон, которая по каким-то причинам не сможет сняться в этом амбициозном проекте. В основу сюжета шоу будет положен подкаст от ABC News/ABC Radio.

В центре сюжета — отчисленная из Стэнфорда студентка Элизабет Холмс, основавшая медицинский стартап с целью разработать инновационное оборудование для анализа крови. Поначалу ее считали Стивом Джобсом нового поколения, но вскоре выяснилось, что ни одна из разработанных Элизабет технологий не только не работает, но и может причинять вред здоровью пользователей, и прекрасный миф рухнул. В итоге жизнь Холмс стала историей о больших амбициях, в которой все пошло наперекосяк, и о том, как так вышло, что самая молодая в мире женщина-миллиардер потеряла все в мгновение ока.
